Manta - - - Afghan

A primeira manta, mas não com os primeiros quadradinhos. Estes são um pouco maiores e a prática tornou-os mais direitos! Aínda não está completa mas já se percebe o efeito. Estou satisfeita com ela.

The first Afghan, but not with the first granny squares. These are a little bigger and practice made them more straight! It's not complete yet but you can see the effect. I'm rather pleased with it.

Granny Squares

Recebi ontem o catálogo da Cath Kidston . Tinha intenção de vir aqui e colocar uma a uma, as lindas coisinhas que queria ter em minha posse mas é impossível. É tudo lindo demais!
A minha caixa de costura já está quase aqui e vem outro livro a caminho.
Weekend Sewing de Heather Ross. Tem mais de 40 projectos rápidos e com instruções óptimas para principiantes. Ora logo veremos mas estou confiante :)

Yesterday the Cath Kidston catalog arrived. I had the intention to come here and show one by one, all the beautiful things I wanted to have in my possession, but it’s impossible. Everything is too gorgeous.
My sewing box is almost here and there’s another book on the way:
Weekend sewing by Heather Ross. It has more than 40 quick projects and with great instructions for beginners. We’ll see but I’m thinking positive :)

This is a wish, but it already came true.
My own little box it’s on its way, not my wish box (caixinha de desejos), but my sewing box! :)
It came form MAISON Sajou and it’s beautiful!

Contains:
a pair of scissors,
a nickel-plated thimble,
a red Sajou dressmakers' tape measure with a ring on each end,
a small, yellow seam ripper,
a box of 200 dressmakers' extra-fine,
a blue dressmaker's chalk,
three cocoons of polyester sewing thread: black, white and beige. Two have Sajou labels, the other has Fil Au Chinois label. Each cocoon contains about 150 metres of thread.
a large reel of pink coloured tacking thread (20 g, approx. 340 metres),
15 Sajou sewing needles booklet,
three floral motif cards for ribbons or thread

The patterns and illustrations are just gorgeous.
I can’t wait for it to arrive. :)
